This past week The Monogram Experience Center (MEC) brought in a group of designers chosen by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) as the 30 Under 30 group who have shown excellent progress in their design careers.
This was such a treat for the MEC Team!
This group was fantastic. They were so eager to learn about Monogram products and they learned so much during their stay. Not only did they love the Monogram Experience Center, they also fell in love with Louisville.
A few members of the group arrived a few days early and spent some time in downtown Louisville. They experienced Fourth Street Live, the Louisville Mega Cavern, and a few more great places for Louisville sightseeing.
They stayed at 21C Museum/Hotel and enjoyed a three-course dinner hosted by GE employees on Monday evening.
On Tuesday the group had a very busy day of training. They even cooked their own lunch with guidance from MEC Chefs Joe Castro and Brian Logsdon. For dinner they enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked for them by the Chefs at the Monogram Experience Center.
Wednesday they cooked breakfast and lunch for themselves and that night I was lucky enough to be able to join them for dinner at Varanese, located in the Crescent Hill neighborhood of Louisville.
On their final day in The Ville, the group was taken on a factory tour to see America at Work at GE Appliance Park. They then participated in a cooking challenge with a secret ingredient … congrats to Kitchen 2 for winning! Every dish prepared was wonderful, but the Chefs could only choose one winner!
Overall our session with the 30 Under 30 was fantastic, there was a never a dull moment with this lively group and we loved every minute of it! Come back to us soon, 30 Under 30!
